Paneer Makhani ( No Onion No Garlic )

Paneer Makhani is one of the most popular Paneer Curry dishes which is rich, creamy and deliciously flavoured with spices. Paneer Makhani without onion and garlic is very easy to prepare. This recipe is with tomato and cashew nut paste with spices and soft paneer cubes.

Ingredients For Paneer Makhani ( No Onion No Garlic )

Methods
  • 1. Tomato Cashew Nuts Paste - Heat oil in a pan on medium flame. Add jeera and let it splutter. Then add cinnamon stick, bay leaf, green cardamom pods and saute for a minute.
  • 2. Further add tomatoes, cashew nuts, salt, whole kashmiri red chillies, mix and cook for 3 to 4 mins. Add water, cover and cook for 8 to 10 mins stirring occasionally. Switch off the flame. Let it cool down and grind to a smooth paste.
  • 3. Gravy - Heat oil and ghee on medium flame. Strain and add prepared paste. Mix and cook for 2 to 3 mins. Add red chilli powder, dhania jeera powder, salt and sugar. Mix well and further cook for 4 to 5 mins stirring in between.
  • 4. Add paneer cubes, mix and cook for 2 to 3 mins. Lower the flame, add fresh cream or malai, mix and cook for 3 to 4 mins. Add kasuri methi, garam masala, chopped fresh green coriander leaves, mix and cook for a minute. Switch off the flame.
  • 5. Garnish with fresh green coriander leaves and serve hot with roti, paratha, naan and rice.
