While pressure cooking jowar, take the required quantity of water only. Do not take more water.

Ingredients For Whole Jowar Upma Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Soak jowar in water overnight. Next morning drain the water and take it to the pressure cooker.
  • 2. Add required quantity of water, little salt and pressure cook it.
  • 3. In a pan heat oil..add cumin seeds and curry leaves.
  • 4. Add chopped green chillies and onions and saute.
  • 5. Once onions turns translucent, add capsicum, sweet corn and green peas.
  • 6. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt and mix well.
  • 7. Now add pressure cooked jowar and mix. Cover and cook for 2 minutes on slow flame.
  • 8. Drizzle lemon juice. Mix well and serve.
