Air Fried Low Fat Keema Doi Bora Recipe

Keema Doi Bora is fried meatballs in sweet and spiced curd. I have made it air fryed to retain its protein and other nutrients without much incorporation of oil and other junks. This snack was one of the specialties of the family of Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore. This dish is generally made with minced mutton or chicken. But one can actually try soya keema to get a vegetarian version of the dish. This colourful and flavourful dish is simply ideal to go with a evening party on Holi .

Ingredients For Air Fried Low Fat Keema Doi Bora Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Take a tawa on the oven, add cumin, coriander, fennel seeds, dry red chili and black pepper seeds then broil it well.
  • 2. Next pour it in a mixing grinder & grind it.Now dahi vada masala is ready.
  • 3. Take a bowl & put the chicken Keema in it, then add onion, ginger,garlic paste, red chilli, cumin, coriander,garam masala powder, salt,sugar to taste & mix it well.
  • 4. Then add maida & corn flour mix well.
  • 5. Next from the mixture prepare small round vadas.
  • 6. Preheat air fryer at 400 for 5 minutes. When the air fryer is preheated brush a tablespoon of oil on the baking rack and place a parchment paper on the baking rack and then place the raw minced chicken vadas one by one evenly without overcrowding. Brush another tablespoon of oil over the vadas as well (optional). Now cook for 5 minutes.
  • 7. After 5 minutes you will notice that the chicken vadas are evenly cooked and crisp. Now flip them and air fry for another 2 minutes.
  • 8. After 2 minutes remove the vadas from the air fryer.
  • 9. Now prepare the dahi. At first take a bowl, add dahi, sugar & salt as per your taste, Red chilli, dahi masala powder, black pepper powder & mix well. Now dahi is ready.
  • 10. In a serving platter at first keep the air fyred vadas,top it up with dahi mixture, granish with sweet tamarind chutney, green chutney, sprinkle some red chilli powder,dahi vada masala and serve it.
