Clean the prawns and add salt, turmeric powder and lemon juice and marinate for 10 minutes

Now grind cumin seeds, coriander seeds, peppercorns, cloves, cinnamon, ginger, garlic, kashmiri red chillies in a blender and blend to make a smooth paste.

Heat oil in a pan. Once the oil is hot, add the marinated prawns, saute and keep aside.

In the remaining oil, add onion and saute, add tomato ketchup and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Now add the ground masala paste, salt, tamarind paste and water cook for 5 minutes. Add coconut milk, and prawns and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot with rice.
