Ingredients For Navratri Ashtami/Navami Prasad Recipe (chana, halwa, puri)

Methods
  • 1. Preparation for chana: Use the pre boiled chana.
  • 2. Take a pan, add some oil and let it heat a bit.
  • 3. Sprinkle 1 tsp jeera followed by 2 green chilli, 1 tsp haldi powder and 1 1/2 tsp coriander powder,and saute it for a minute.
  • 4. Now add in the boiled chana with the leftover water. Then dredge some 1/2 tsp amchur powder, 1 tsp red chilli powder. 1 1/2 tsp garam masala, and salt, and give it a good mix.
  • 5. Cover with the lid for few minutes, or till the water evaporates.
  • 6. At last remove the lid and drizzle some freshly chopped dhaniya.
  • 7. The chana recipe for pooja is ready to serve.
  • 8. Preparation for halwa: Pour ghee into the heated pan.
  • 9. Add the suji and roast them, until it changes its colour to brown.
  • 10. Once it attains the brown colour, drizzle the chopped dry fruits and again roast it, until it turns little more darker.
  • 11. Then add in the raisin and mix. Now pour in the sugar and sprinkle 1/2 tsp elaichi powder and some water, and cover it with a lid without stirring.
  • 12. Remove the lid after around 2-3 minutes. The halwa will be done and will be ready to serve.
  • 13. Preparation for poori: Take some atta in a bowl and pour in some oil and sprinkle some salt.
  • 14. Now knead the atta into a slight stiff dough and leave it to rest for around 20-25 minutes.
  • 15. Then make small balls of equal size and roll it into round pooris.
  • 16. Heat the kadhai with cooking oil and deep fry the poori, until golden in colour.
  • 17. Take it out into a soaking paper. The poori is done.
  • 18. Your chana, halwa poori is ready to serve as prasad.
