Spicy mango pickle
I bought this jar of pickle sometime back from a local fair. I was not at all sure about its flavor but since it has mango, which is one of my favorites, I bought it. I loved the strong flavor of asafoetida in this pickle. It adds a very peculiar, and tasty flavor to it. The blend of mango slices along with salt and spices is exceptionally good in this pickle and makes it stand out. It has a salty, tangy, and spicy taste with a bit bitter undertone that pairs well with many homemade North Indian dishes. However, too much of this pickle should surely be avoided as it may lead to heartburn considering the amount of spices it has.
