Methods

How to make Cream Of Mushroom Soup Recipe

1. Rinse white button mushrooms, then chop them in halves or quarters.
2. Melt butter in a heavy saucepan.
3. Add the finely chopped onions and garlic.
4. Sauté stirring often on medium-low heat till the onions soften and become translucent.
5. Add the sliced or chopped mushrooms and saute till the mushrooms start to release water.
6. Saute till all the water dries up and the mushrooms become a light golden.
7. Add the flour and saute for 3 to 4 minutes stirring often on a low to medium-low heat.
8. Then add freshly crushed black pepper and mix well.
9. Add water and then add milk.
10. Stir well and season with salt.
11. On a low to medium-low heat let the soup becomes thickened.
12. Then add the cream and mix well.
13. Switch off the heat and pour the soup in serving bowls.
14. Serve the cream of mushroom soup steaming hot garnished with cream and cilantro.
