Kashmiri Style Hyderabadi Biryani Recipe

Here is a recipe of the signature dish of Hyderabad, with a sweet twist of Kashmiri rice. I tried this fusion for my hometeam Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Ingredients For Kashmiri Style Hyderabadi Biryani Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Soak rice for half an hour. Then boil them in salt water till they are cooked 60%. Then drain all the water from the rice and set aside.
  • 2. Rinse palak and methi leaves with water then boil, remove them ,let cool. And them with chilli and mixer grind them till coarse. Take a big deep pan. Add 5-6 tablespoons ghee and heat, then add cashewnuts,raisins, dalcheeni , black pepper, lavang,cardamom and heat on low flame for 1 min approx.
  • 3. Then add peas,capsicum, grinded methi and palak , paneer cubes,kesari doodh masala,shahi biryani masala, butter paneer masala,salt,1 cup water and rice,let cook on low flame for 5 minutes approx. Completely cover with lid. At the end make sure all the water is evaporated and rice is perfectly cooked.
  • 4. If required add more water and cook rice perfectly. Load with ghee as per your taste and your favourite Kashmiri style Hyderabadi Biryani is ready to be served.
