Mango-flowers or Aam pankhuri sweet recipe in Bengali

mango flowers is a seasonal variety of mango sweet . You can enjoy it as long as fresh mango fruits are available. I mean, during the mango season, if not in season ,you can use mango pulp,mango jam instead of fresh mangoes. (It can be preserved at least for 1 month in refrigerator )We can call it AAm pankhuri sweet also .

Ingredients For Mango-flowers or Aam pankhuri sweet recipe in Bengali

Methods
  • 1. Blend together, mango pulp, jam, sugar,cardamom powder in blender. Let it keep on fire to cook. Simmer 7-8 minutes stirring constantly.
  • 2. Now take a greased plate and spread the pulp on to it evenly. Dry it out in the hot sun till completely dried.
  • 3. When the top is dried, turn and dry some more till no moisture is left. Cut prepared aam papads into flower shapes with flower shapes cutter carefully .
  • 4. Wrap each mango flower with powdered castor sugar or boora. Top each mango flower with crumbled ½ tsp chopped cahews or coconut burfi .
  • 5. Decorate with glazed cherries and silver wirk.
