Keep the flame on lowest as high flame will burn the coconut. Do not add too much ghee as coconut has some oil of its own. Keep mixing the mixture or else it will stick to the bottom of pan.

Take a kadhai heat 5 tbsp of ghee into it. Add desiccated coconut and roast them until it leaves a good aroma. Keep the flame to the lowest

Now add 2 cups of milk and keep mixing them on low flame until the milk gets absorbed.

Once the milk is absorbed add 2 cups of sugar and keep mixing them on low flame until sugar melts.

Once them moisture is absorbed add milk powder and mix well. It gives a good flavor and rich texture. This step is optional but it will give you taste of khoya.

Take the mixture off the flame and let it cool for 5-6 mins. Once it's medium hot take it in greased hands and give them a round shape. Roll them in desicatted coconut Dry fruits are optional. They can be added with sugar if required.
