Rajasthani Govind Gatte Sabji Recipe

Govind Gatta are traditionally made with gram flour and spices, cooked in gravy made with curd. I have taken it a step further by including dried figs.

Ingredients For Rajasthani Govind Gatte Sabji Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Mix spices in besan and knead a hard dough. Make balls from it & stuff chopped figs in each ball.
  • 2. Boil some water and put the balls in it . Cook for atleast 10 minutes or till bubbles appear on balls. Drain excess water & keep aside.
  • 3. Heat a pan & pour oil in it. Add cumin, mustard seed, hing, bayleaf in it. Add spices in curd & pour it in heated oil.
  • 4. Stir continually till oil separates . Add boiled besan balls and water to adjust consistency. Cook for 10 minutes & serve hot with chapati or rice.
