It's a rather known fact that the Maggi - 2 minutes noodles is the biggest lie of the century, but why do we still give in to this and still buy it? Here's why; the 2 minute concept is understood to be a marketing gimmick and we are able to look past it because we all know that it's definitely worth the wait! There are n number of recipes and variation you could do with this one packet of instant noodles and even if you choose not to mix it up and having it exactly how it is, the maggi masala by itself is a perfect example of what umami is. By the time it hits the back of our throats, we are left craving for more. Ask yourselves, is there any other better word to describe the flavour that comes out of the small sachet that has you almost addicted to this noodles, I believe not. Thus, personally I'm willing to wait a little over the 2 minute mark or sometimes even more than double the time just to be able to savour this one of a kind product! I've tried everything under the sun to cook it at 2 minutes, but I've never been able to execute this task in 120 seconds. I've put it in whole and I've crumbled it up, I've tried it on boiling hot water and started it off at room temperature, I highly believe it's an impossible task and that if one could actually make it on time, they should find themselves on the Guinness World Records! All said and done, Maggi has grown with us and has been there for the most of us at all times and whenever we needed it, and never failed to disappoint be it soupy, dry or just how you like it. Very truly I would like to quote one of their campaigns, "Mera Maggi" meaning My Maggi.

First things first, you must be wondering why "Ya Cult", let me explain; Cult: a person or thing that is popular or fashionable among a particular group or section of society. I was introduced to this drink by one of my close friends who used to drink this on a daily basis, she had her reasons to drink it as it helped with her UTI and dehydration. Seeing that she had a lot of it stocked up at all time, I too tried it out and I still significantly remember the first time I tried it, you need an acquired taste to enjoy this drink. She brought back a lot of flavours from her trip in Singapore and I would've tried most of them, but the original is still my favourite, some of the flavours were strange, but that's just my opinion. A lot of Asians swear by Yakult, they have it in their daily routine, I had a phase were I started having it everyday as well because I noticed it kept my tummy happy and efficiently curbed my hunger for junk snack type foods. The one thing that attracted me the most to Yakut was the packaging. I personally love the packaging; those tiny small bottles are really cute and it's a fun experience to drink from such bottles. I've learnt to accept that it's worth the money and people should consider including this in their daily diet as it is important to include a probiotic in your diet to keep your stomach and immunity at the top and Yakult seems like a good option do so! If you're not willing to make a pizza sauce from scratch and want the best possible result from a ready-made pizza sauce, this is the one. It brings out Italian in me, Delizioso! Use it with homemade pizza base or a store bought pizza base, this sauce works it's wonders regardless. It probably helps elevate your pizza flavour to something very elite. The consistency of the sauce though, I cannot elaborate enough of how soothing it is to be able to spread the sauce on the base I'm circles and see it spread so beautiful and evenly. I highly doubt there's any product of the similar type that would match the standards of this sauce. I would blindly believe my pizza is going to taste better with this sauce on it! As for the pricing of the sauce, I believe it's priced very appropriately and it would always be my number one pick even if the price might be hike someday. It sits well in the fridge and could do it's time easily if allowed to be in the fridge and closed correctly, but once you open it you feel like having pizza almost every other day until you make most of the sauce! Hands down, worth every penny.

Aloo Bhujia to me is more than just an ordinary snack, it's a condiment by itself and helps compliment so many dishes be it breakfast, lunch or dinner. How the Italians sprinkle some Parmesan on top of their food, I believe we Indians need to sprinkle some Aloo Bhujia. Very honestly, it's the the tastiest snack out there and works well at whatever time of the day. If I'm ever going to stock up on snacks and other munchies; Aloo Bhujia is always on my list. Hands down the best Halidarms product in the market. However, all said and done I wish like the bug Aloo Bhujia packets all of them come with the ziplock option, it would make it so much more helpful for the customers.

There are often insecurities of going and grabbing a plate of bhel puri at one your local chat shops due to hygiene factors. Haldirams tackles this by giving you the opportunity to make your Bhel Puri at home. All the required ingredients from the Bhel, Papdi and Peanuts are inside the packet along with three varieties of sauces that allow you to make your perfect Beheld Puri anywhere. When I make it at home, I love adding some chopped onions, a squeeze of lime juice and a pinch of chat masala to make it work best for me! Sometimes I also enjoy eating it without adding anything into. I feel like they've done a brilliant job on the packaging for this one and all their various sizes of bhel puri packets. My personal favourite however would be the individual bhel puri round container. That has a vibe of its own!

It's basically just salted dal that's slightly crunchy in texture, but personally it's not for me. I don't like the flavour profile and I can't recall ever enjoying eating this snack. I remember there's used to always be a packet of this at home, and only when there would be absolutely nothing around in situations of dire hunger and need would I ever consider opening this. But now that I've grown up, I prefer not to purchase this at all. To me it's like the yellow lays, why go for this option when you have so many more flavourful options in front of you. But if you're the kind who likes the yellow lays, this one's for you.

Khatta Meetha translates to Sweet and Sour, and this mixture is an accurate representation of the same. However, the sweet more dominant than the latter, balances it in a manner that appeals to the palate much better. Definitely comes amongst the best snacks produced by Haldirams and if you ever see a packet of this, don't hesitate to pick it up, it definitely will not disappoint! Always good to have this in your pantry so if any guest drop by, you have a nice mixture to keep alongside the tea and other snacks.

There's this particular flavour we use to describe snacks like this and that word is chatpata. Slightly tangy, but also very chatpata; these long sticks taste exactly what an Indian Peri Peri French Fry would taste like and they've conceptualized it to a snack by talking the fry much much more thinner and crisper. Putting your hand into these packets to take them would definitely result in you ending up licking your fingers generously to savour every but of the flavour used.

The first thing that came to my mind when I purchased it was Aloo Bhujias First Cousin. I gave it a shot and tried it out once, it was nice and tasted pretty decent, had that lemon and lime kick in the masala but I just couldn't see myself purchasing it again, it's a good first cousin to have if you want varieties of the bhujia, but not the real deal.

Very intrigued by the look of this snack, I still remember the first time I had it, we were sitting for tea and my mum was enjoying this snack, I asked if I could try it out and I still remember how hard it was to bite on it. If you ask my tooth, they'd still probably remember how it felt, haha. Over the years though, I've started enjoying the flavour and texture if this snack and it's currently one among my favourite Haldiram snacks!
