Schezwan Chutney Glass Jar 200 grams

I love cooking chinese food at home and have tried different brands of schezwan sauces available in market. I chanced upon this one in Big Bazaar and it was available for tasting as well. This sauce has right amount of tanginess and its not very spicy so it doesn't over power dish As its not very spicy, I use it for making schezwan noodles for my niece which she loves. This has become a staple in my kitchen

Gherkins - Pickled Vegetables Glass Jar 480 grams

Being a salad lover, I experiment lot of permutations and combinations to make my salads interesting. I picked up this jar as I like to add some pickled vegetables in my salad for that extra zing from its sourness. Packaging could be improved as its difficult to open the lid in one go. I would have preferred sliced gherkins instead of whole because of strong sourness of the gherkin. I always end up using half or less than half . I add these to my burgers and they turned out really well.

Soft & Nutritious Paneer Classic Block Pack 200 grams

I normally prefer either fresh paneer from local dairy or making it at home as I’ve had a few bad experiences with packaged branded paneer. My local dairy being shut on a day when I had unexpected guests for a meal made me pick up this product from a local store out of no choice. But this product really surprised me the vacuum packed paneer was not as hard unlike the other brands I’ve used in past. This paneer was very soft and moist and tasted much better paneer from my local dairy. A quick tip to make sure you don’t waste the whey water inside the paneer pack – make sure you keep vacuum packed paneer vertically straight before you open the packaging.

Pav Bhaji Masala Box 100 grams

Bring my most favorite street food from bombay, I often make pav bhaji at home using this masala. As it helps recreate same aroma and taste as its street style version. I always store it in airtight container as if I keep it to long in it's packaging it loses it aroma over time.

All-Bran Wheat Flakes Box 425 grams

Being a working woman, I am always running late for work in morning; hence end up skipping breakfast most of the times. I was always apprehensive of eating ready to eat breakfast cereals, but when I read that it contains wheat bran which is rich in fibre I decided to give it a try. These flakes taste really good and are not very sweet. It keeps me quite full and energetic till lunchtime. I also use it as crumbs sometimes to coat any fried snacks that I make. Storage tip - it needs to be stored in air tight container to prevent from catching moisture and turning soggy

Chicken Nuggets, Soft & juicy Pack 750 grams

I normally store some ready to make snacks in my refrigerator to save myself from that sudden stress when there is an unexpected guest in the house. I bought these nuggets last time as the packaging looked attractive and hence I wanted to give it a try. Sadly when I fried them they turned out to be soggy and oily as each nugget soaked a lot of oil even after not frying these for too long. They turned out inedible. Thankfully I had another snack as a back up and so was saved from the embarrassment. Don't think I am going to pick this up again from the store.

Ginger & Garlic Paste Pack 100 grams

I use ginger garlic alot in my daily cooking. I bought this paste to spare me hassle of peeling garlic. However, this paste have strong acidic after taste which is quite over powering. The packaging is such that once opened there is no way it can be resealed so paste gets dry if kept open in the refrigerator. I will stick to fresh ginger garlic paste till I get better option from any other brands.

Rajasthani Sweet Lime Pickle Glass Jar 350 grams

I am fond of pickles since I was a kid, so I like to store collection of all sweet, sour, spicy and tangy pickles in my fridge. This pickle goes very with theplas as it can be spread easily like chutney . Sometimes I simply blend this pickle into fine paste to serve it as tangy dip for chips during get togethers.
