Bite Sized Baked Veg Au Gratin Tarts Recipe(Garlic Flavoured Tarts filled with Baked Veg Au Gratin) !!

These are tongue twisters... The taste a tongue drooler !! Baked Veg Au Gratin is Continental delicacy which is made using vegetables sauted in white sauce topped with lots of cheese and baked till you get nice brown crust and served with crisp and warm tandoori roti or breads. Here's a twist to it, Garlic Flavoured tarts are filled with Baked Veg and then baked to get crispy tarts.

Ingredients For Bite Sized Baked Veg Au Gratin Tarts Recipe(Garlic Flavoured Tarts filled with Baked Veg Au Gratin) !!

Methods
  • 1. Tart Dough - Take maida, salt and garlic powder in a plate. Mix well and gradually, add water to make soft and smooth dough. Grease dough with little oil and keep aside.
  • 2. Chop and boil vegetables of your choice (I have taken Beans, green peas, corn, bell pepper, carrot and canned pineapple). Take butter in a pan. Add boiled vegetables as butter melts, except canned pineapple. Saute for few mins. Then add salt and black pepper powder. Mix well and saute further for few more mins and keep aside.
  • 3. White Sauce - Take butter in another pan and add maida to it. Keep stirring on low flame for a min. Then add milk, keep on stirring so that lumps are not formed. Add salt, black pepper powder and grated cheese and mix all well. Boil upto required consistency. White Sauce is ready.
  • 4. Now add already prepared boiled vegetables in white sauce and give it a good mix. Also add chopped canned pineapple and mix well and further cook for 2 to 3 mins. Switch off the flame. Keep aside.
  • 5. Now take tart dough, knead well again and divide in 4 parts. Make smooth balls from it and roll thin roti. Grease mini tart moulds with butter and gently keep rolled roti on it. Remove extra roti and gently press roti in mould. Poke using fork all over it. Make all tarts and bake in an preheated oven for 8 to 10 mins. Remove from oven and let it cool down.
  • 6. Now fill the baked tarts with already prepared baked veggies in white sauce. Top with grated cheese and again bake in an preheated oven till cheese melts completely and turns golden brown in colour. Remove from oven.
  • 7. Serve hot or warm Au Gratin Tarts.
