Ingredients For Gulabjamun Cake Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Take a bowl and sift all the dry ingredients like four, cornflour, castor sugar, sooji, baking powder and soda.
  • 2. Add in half of the saffron and cardamom powder to it. You can also add a pinch of salt at this stage.
  • 3. Now we will start mixing the wet ingredients in another bowl by adding curd, oil and rose essence.
  • 4. Start adding dry ingredients into wet in batches till well combined. Do not overmix.
  • 5. Line a baking tin or a loaf pan. And bake it at 180 degrees for 35 to 40 mins.
  • 6. Now for the sugar syrup we will boil sugar and 30 ml of water by adding saffron, cardamom and rose essence.
  • 7. Simmer for only 2 mins and then turn off the flame.
  • 8. Take out the cake after baking and prick it with toothpick.
  • 9. Brush the syrup over slightly warm cake. Wait till absorb and repeat again till syrup is fully absorbed.
  • 10. Let it cool and enjoy with a scoop of ice cream or mug of hot chocolate.
