Methods

How to make Khara Loaf Recipe

1. In a bowl take 1/2 cup lukewarm water and add 3 tbsp of sugar. Give it a good mix. Add the yeast and mix well. Keep it aside for 15 minutes.
2. In another bowl sieve flour, salt, baking powder and turmeric. Now add dried mint powder and jeera to it along with chopped onion.
3. Now add melted buttet and mix well until the mixture gets crumbly. Add the yeast with water and mix well.
4. Knead it into a dough. Keep kneading it for 10 minutes.
5. Keep this dough aside for 1.5 hours
6. Once it gets doubled in size make small loaves from it taking care of sealing the ends.
7. Keep it aside for another 30-40 minutes.
8. Bake it at 190-200 degree Celsius for 25-30 minutes.
9. Once it cools down slice it apply some butter and enjoy with hot tea.
