1. I have used small sago. If using big sago then soak it overnight or more than 3 hours. 2. Cook till the sago becomes transparent and glossy.

Ingredients For Sago kesari Recipe

Methods
  • 1. First, wash sago. Drain it completely and keep aside.
  • 2. In a pan add ghee and fry the cashew nuts till golden. Take out and keep aside.
  • 3. In the same pan, saute the washed sago. Add water and mix it.
  • 4. Cook the sago in water. When the sago is well cooked and turns glossy, add sugar and a pinch of food colour.
  • 5. Now add cardamom powder, roasted cashew nuts and 1tbsp ghee.
  • 6. Mix well and turn off the flame. Sago kesari is ready to serve.
