Prick the tart before putting it to blind bake. Second, 20 gm of milk can be used instead of egg yolk. Third, always preheat the oven at the required temperature.

Ingredients For Apple Pie Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Mix butter, flour and crumble it.
  • 2. Then add the icing sugar and gently crumble it with fingers.
  • 3. Add two tbsp of egg yolk or milk to bind it into a dough.
  • 4. Once done, clean wrap the dough and refrigerate it to make the dough little cold, so that the butter settles.
  • 5. After the dough gets set, roll it into a sheet and place it on the tart mould, without any cracks on it. And make sure that the edges are smooth.
  • 6. Now blind bake it for 20 minutes, at 180 degree Celsius.
  • 7. Meanwhile, the tart is getting baked, chop the apples for the filling.
  • 8. Now take a heavy bottom pan and add in the chopped apples, followed by sugar, butter, raisins, cinnamon powder, and let it cook, until it leaves out the water.
  • 9. Finally add in the crumbs, so that it soaks in all the moisture.
  • 10. After the tart in half baked, spread the filling, and cover the tart with another sheet of tart in a criss cross manner.
  • 11. Again put it to bake for around 15 to 20 minutes, at 180 degree celsius.
  • 12. Once baked, dust the apple pie with some icing sugar,
  • 13. The apple pie is ready to serve.
