  • 1. Preheat the oven at 180 degree Celsius.
  • 2. Sift all the dry ingredients in a bowl.
  • 3. Mix all the wet ingredients in a bowl.
  • 4. Now slowly combine dry mixture with wet to form a batter.
  • 5. If the batter is thick add milk. We need a ribbon consistency.
  • 6. Pour in the mould and bake for 40 minutes.
  • 7. Now basic chocolate sponge is ready.
