Ingredients For Dal Makhani Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Rinse and soak whole black gram and rajma overnight in 5-6 cups of water. Once soaked, drain and rinse again.
  • 2. Add whole black gram and rajma in 3 cups of water with littel salt,bay leaf and black cardamom to a pressure cooker. Cover with the lid, and pressure cook for 4-5 whistles or till both the dals are soft and cooked completely.
  • 3. Heat butter in a pan.Add cumin seeds,ginger garlic paste,onion and saute till they become golden in color.
  • 4. Add tomato paste and saute for 2 minutes. Now add salt to taste, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and saute for 2 minutes
  • 5. Add cooked dal and 1/4 cup of water.Stir well.
  • 6. Cook on low heat for 10 minutes. Add kasuri methi , coriander leaves ,2 Tabelspoon of cream mix well and turn of the heat.
  • 7. Garnish with freash cream and onion rings.
  • 8. Serve hot with roti,rice or naan.
