Ingredients For Dhokla Recipe

Methods
  • 1. In a mixing bowl take besan,suji, salt, oil, sugar and citric acid mix very well with water and make smooth batter, like pakora batter.
  • 2. Give it Rest for 10-15 minutes. Meanwhile Grease plates or thalis using oil.
  • 3. Pour approximately 2-3 cups water in steamer at bottom and heat it over medium flame for 5-6 minutes.
  • 4. After 15 minutes mix the batter again if require add 1 tsp water. Just before steaming add baking soda mix nicely. Transfer the batter in greased plate.Placing the plates (filled with batter) in steamer.
  • 5. Steam the batter on medium flame for 20 minutes. After 15 minutes check the dhokla and turn off the flame.
  • 6. Let it cool. Cut it into pieces. Serve with chutney.
