GARLIC POCKET BREADS RECIPE

Do not make the dough hard as it would not ferment or it will not bake properly too.

Ingredients For GARLIC POCKET BREADS RECIPE

Methods
  • 1. Warm the milk. Do not heat. It should be just like warm.
  • 2. Dilute sugar n yeast the milk and let it rest for 15 - 20 min in a warm place.
  • 3. The yeast will become frothy after 15 minutes. Only if it is frothy or bubbly u can use it otherwise repeat step 1 and 2 again.
  • 4. Take maida in a bowl n make hole in the centre and add salt and the above mixture. Knead with enough water to make it a sticky dough.
  • 5. You have to work on this dough on a platform bow sprinkling some maida over it n knead it well in the cut and fold method.
  • 6. It will take 10- 15 min approx for it to come into a holdable ball shape. It would he still very soft but can be holded into shape.
  • 7. Cover and leave aside in a warm place for 45 min. It will double in size after 45 min.
  • 8. Now take out again on the platform and burst the air in. Knead the dough back again but with ÂĽ cup butter this time.
  • 9. Leave closed again for 10 minutes
  • 10. Now mix all the other left over ingredients in a bowl with butter n keep aside
  • 11. Roll into thick rounds of about 7
  • 12. Apply the prepared butter in. You can even add parmesan cheese if you wish. Close to form a semicircle.
  • 13. Brush with milk and bake for 15 min @ 170* c or till brown on top.
  • 14. Take out the bread and apply butter immediately to that the crust remains soft and the bread doesn't hardens up.
  • 15. Serve them immediately aor cut into halves so disclose the pockets.
