Holi Special poha and mawa stuffed gujiya sweets recipe

This gujiya sweet looks like the authentic holi special gujiya but there is a slight twist!The stuffing is the key. I have stuffed my gujiyas with mashed poha , mawa , desiccated coconut and chopped dry fruits.

Ingredients For Holi Special poha and mawa stuffed gujiya sweets recipe

Methods
  • 1. Prepare a semi tight dough with plain flour, ghee and pinch of salt
  • 2. Rest the dough for 30 minutes
  • 3. Mix poha powder , mawa , chopped dry fruits and elaichi powder together
  • 4. Prepare a one string consistency sugar syrup with 1/2 cup sugar and 3/4 cup water
  • 5. Stuff the gujiyas with poha , mawa and dry fruits mix .
  • 6. Fry in low medium heat
  • 7. After cooling down soak the gujiyas for 20 minutes and serve
