Jaggery Sharbat ( Gur Ka Sharbat ) !! Recipe

A quick drink to make, it requires you to mix water and jaggery. Add a dash of lemon juice which is a big source of vitamin c, for some tanginess. Jaggery is loaded with antioxidant and minerals like zinc and selenium which helps in prevent free radical damage and boost resistance against infection. Jaggery also helps increase the total count of haemoglobin in the blood. It also prevents constipation, detoxes the liver, prevents anaemia and cools the body. Apart from these there are many benefits of jaggery.

Methods
  • 1. Soak jaggery in water. Once jaggery is melted, transfer this liquid into blender along with juice of 2 medium sized lemon, piece of ginger, black salt and few fresh mint leaves.
  • 2. Add lots of ice cubes and blend together. Strain this mixture.
  • 3. While serving, add few ice cubes, garnish with lemon slices and mint leaves and enjoy.
