Ingredients For Kanda poha recipe (Mumbai style) Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Wash the poha in a colander.Poha should be moist but not mashed.Add salt and sugar and mix lightly.
  • 2. Heat oil in a non-stick pan.Add mustard seeds and when they splutter add green chillies, curry leaves and peanuts.
  • 3. Saute for half a min. and add onions, potato, continue to saute.
  • 4. Add salt, turmeric powder and mix.Saute for two min.and add poha.
  • 5. Mix and cook till poha is heated through.Add lemon juice and mix lightly.
  • 6. In the same pan,add Tata sampann Red Rice Poha and saute for 1-2 min.Slightly crush the poha with the spoon to smaller pieces.
  • 7. Add milk and mix well.Let the mixture come to a boil.Lower the heat and cook till the poha is cooked completely.
  • 8. Add sugar and mix well.Add green cardamom powder and mix well.Cook till the sugar is dissolved.
  • 9. Add rose water,mix well and take it off the heat.
