Ingredients For Mawa Gujiya Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Take a mixing bowl, add maida, salt and ghee and crumble the mixture. Add water and make a tight and smooth dough. Cover it with samp cloth and Let it rest for 20 mins.
  • 2. Meanwhile will make stuffing. For that take a pan add khoya, let it melt. Add desiccated coconut and mix well. Add rating and cardamom powder and cook it for 2-3 mins. Let it cool completely and add sugar and mix it well. Our stuffing is ready.
  • 3. Now take the dough and make small balls out of it. Roll it thin from all the sides, take gujiya mould add 1 tsp of stuffing and cover it and cut the extra part of dough.
  • 4. Make all gujiya like this and keep them on a samp cloth. Heat oil in a wok and deep fry all the gujiya son low flame.
  • 5. Now make sugar syrup by adding water and sugar in one pan. Keep stirring until sugar gets completely dissolve. Add two drop of food colour.Boil it for 5-7 mins after dissolving the sugar. Do not give it a string consistency. Keep the fried gujiya in sugar syrup for 4-5 mins.
  • 6. Garnish with silver work and chopped pistachios. Serve and store in air right containers.
