Ingredients For Misal Paav Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Boil the overnight soaked sprouts with a pinch of salt and turmeric until it becomes soft (for about 20 minutes).Keep the water used to boil that sprouts.
  • 2. Heat butter in a pan and saute onion and tomato until it becomes mushy. Make a fine paste of sauteed onion and tomato in a blender.
  • 3. Heat butter in a deep pan and add cumin seeds and asafoetida in it.
  • 4. Then add ginger garlic paste and chopped green chillies and saute it for 10 seconds . Add the blended paste in the pan and cook it until butter separates out of it .
  • 5. Add all the dry spices powder and saute it . Then add 2 cups of water that is used to boil the sprouts.
  • 6. Add tamarind and lemon juice and cooked sprouts. Cook it for 10 minutes on high medium flame .
  • 7. And misal is ready to eat. Garnish it with sev and coriander
  • 8. Serve it with butter tossed Paav or can serve without even butter tossing.
