Quantity of water should be double than the rice. You can take dry fruits of your choice.

Ingredients For Mithe Chawal Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Soak rice in water for about 20 minutes.
  • 2. In a pan add ghee and fry the fry fruits of your choice and keep it aside. Add bay leaf, cardemon and pepper corn to it.
  • 3. In remaining ghee add soaked rice. Drain the water completely and then add the rice to the vessel.
  • 4. Saute it for 2 minutes. In another side, keep the water double than the rice to boil.
  • 5. Once water starts boiling, add it to the rice. Also add turmeric powder and sugar and give a nice mix.
  • 6. Cover the vessel and cook it till rice is done. Cook till rice is 80% cooked.
  • 7. At last add the fried dry fruits and serve.
