Chikki is an Indian sweet.
Peanut jaggery chikki eaten in winters looks very crunchy, tasty.
Everyone likes peanut chikki. It is very nutritious as it is rich in protein, iron, vitamins and minerals.

Put peanuts in the pan and fry on low flame for 10 minutes while stirring continuously.

Let the fried peanuts cool down for 5 minutes. Remove the skins of peanuts.

Make small pieces of jaggery, add jaggery to the pan .Melt the jaggery on low flame, and add 1 tsp of ghee and stir continuously.

Add 1 teaspoon cardamom powder to the jaggery syrup to give flavor to the chikki. Check the syrup of jaggery by putting a small drop of it in a bowl full of water. If the jaggery is stretching, then keep stirring the jaggery for a while. And check the jaggery again.

If the jaggery starts breaking, it feels crunchy like taffy, then the jaggery syrup is ready.Add peanuts to the jaggery and mix it well, turn off the gas .

Apply ghee on polythene. Spread the jaggery peanut mixture on the greased surface. Grease the rolling pin by applying a little ghee and roll the chikki with the help of the rolling pin.When it is slightly hot, make the peanut chikki in the desired size by putting a cut mark on it with a knife.

Special Crunchy Peanut Chikki for winter is ready. Store its pieces in an airtight container.
