1.The ghee used for adding ghee while stirring the gram flour mixture should be very hot.2 To make perfect Mysore Pak, stir it vigorously when it rises and take it out on a plate as soon as the color changes.

  • 1. Sift the gram flour. Prepare syrup by mixing sugar and water in a pan. Let it cook until the sugar dissolves completely. A nice long string should emerge from the syrup, the syrup is ready.
  • 2. Put ghee and oil in a pan and keep stirring it on low flame, as we have to make Mysore Pak recipe.
  • 3. We will reduce the flame to very low and keep adding some gram flour into it. Then stir it very well so that lumps do not form. Similarly, add gram flour little by little in 3-4 batches and mix.
  • 4. Keep stirring the entire mixture, so that the (oil, ghee) dissolves properly in the gram flour. Keep pouring hot ghee into the gram flour with a spoon and keep frying the gram flour with the other hand.
  • 5. Do this 4-5 times so that you soon see the ghee separating from the pan at the sides. The gram flour started swelling and the color of the gram flour started changing slightly, lattice started forming in the swollen gram flour. Will immediately put it in a deep tray, plate or bowl.
  • 6. The gram flour mixture will turn golden in color as it cools. After cooling for 10 minutes, cut the Mysore Pak as per your choice. When it is completely set, separate the pieces after half an hour. Garnish with almonds and pistachios.
  • 7. The delicious Mysore Pak is ready to serve. Store Mysore Pak in an air tight container.
