In a mixing bowl, take besan,suji, salt, sugar,and citric acid mix very well with water and make smooth batter (maintain proper consistency of batter like pakora batter)

Rest it for 10-15 min. Meanwhile Grease plates or thalis using oil.

Pour approx 2-3 cups water in steamer at bottom and heat it over medium flame for 5-6 minutes.

After 15 minutes, mix the batter again if require add 1 tsp water. Just before steaming add baking soda mix nicely. Transfer the batter in greased plate.Placing the plates (filled with batter) in steamer.

Steam the batter on medium flame for 20 minutes.(after 15 minutes check the dhokla)turn off the flame.
