Take flour and hot ghee in a bowl and gradually add some warm water to it in order to make a soft dough. Keep this dough aside for 30 minutes.

Make some balls out of this dough.Roll the mathri flat using a rolling pin and poke some holes in it.

Heat ghee in a pan and fry the mathri well till they turn crisp.

take the mathris out and let them cool for a while. in a pan take sugar and a glass of water.cook it for 6-7 minutes till the sugar dissolves completely and it comes to a thick syrup like consistency.

Dip your mathri in this syrup and let them cool so that the syrup will get crystallised

Garnish with chopped nuts rose petals and silver varak
