Methods

How to make Wheat Mathi Recipe

1. Take oil, wheat flour, maida, all spices, salt and baking soda in a mixing bowl.
2. Mix everything well and rub evenly with your fingertips. The more you mix this, the more better texture the Mathis have.
3. Just add water each time only mix the dough.
4. When the whole material easily clumped gathered together into a bowl over and keep aside for 30 minutes.
5. Heat the oil for frying in a pan. Make small balls from the dough.
6. Keep the balls covered so that they don't dry out.
7. Flatten each ball with a rolling pin to medium thickness.
8. Prick each mathi with knife or fork.
9. Check the hotness of oil before frying.
10. Fry them in a medium hot oil till crisps and golden.
11. Drain them in the paper napkin.
12. When it cooled down store them in a airtight container.
13. Serve them with tea as evening snacks.
