Recipe Notes

You can add lemon juice and pink salt also while drinking. Please adjust the quantity of sugar as per the sweetness of bel and your taste.

Methods
  • 1. Wash and break the shell of the woodapple.Scoop out the flesh.
  • 2. Mash and soak it in 1 glass water for about 15 minutes.Strian it.
  • 3. Again add one glass water to the strained flesh and strain.Repeat the process till only seeds and just threads are left in the strainer.
  • 4. Boil the strained water on high flame.After a boil,add sugar.
  • 5. Keep boiling till it reaches squash like consistency.Add food colour at this stage.
  • 6. Simmer for few minutes and turn off the flame.Let it come to room temp.
  • 7. Now add preservative and store in bottle.When drinking,simply add chilled water to it and enjoy.
