Ingredients For Aam Papad !!

Methods
  • 1. Heat up heavy bottom pan on a low flame. Add mango pulp, sugar, salt and lemon juice to the pan.
  • 2. Mix all very well. On a low to medium flame, cook the mixture for about 7 to 10 mins.
  • 3. Keep stirring continuously in between. Cook till gets little thick. Add water.
  • 4. Give it a good mix and switch off the flame. Grease a plate with ghee.
  • 5. Immediately transfer cooked mango mixture to the greased plate. With the help of a knife or a palatte, spread evenly the mixture in a plate.
  • 6. Tap the plate to remove air bubbles. Cover the plate with a thin muslin cloth and sun dry the mango papad.
  • 7. Cut in squares or any shape or roll as you wish. Make sure it is completely dry before cutting.
  • 8. Enjoy this shiny, glossy, delicious and totally hygienic homemade Mango Papad !!

Ever since a kid I was fond of aam papad. But over the years I have seen it deteriorating in its quality and taste which was the main reason to step back from buying it. But having a home made resort to it is a great sigh of relief. The best part is that now I can be sure of the quality and eat it anytime. As there is no problem of shelf life you can easily make it once a week and store it in refrigerator for almost a month.
