Ingredients For Dal Dhokli Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Wash tha dal thoroughly by water . Now add three cups of water, dal , peanuts, salt, turmeric powder in a pressure cooker and cook it till two to three whistles.
  • 2. Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. When it starts crackling, add curry leaves, asafoetida, dry red chilies. Stir it for a while. Now add salt, red chili powder, coriander powder as per taste and mix it. Mix it in the boiled dal Also add tamarind pulp and jaggery to it. Mix it well. Turn off the gas.
  • 3. Mix all the ingredients of dhokli in a large plate. Prepare soft dough by adding water little by little. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
  • 4. Take a dough ball and roll it into a slightly thick roti. Cut it into desired pieces.
  • 5. Place the dal cooker on gas heat it , add the dhokli pieces one by one in this dal. Cover it with a lid. Cook it on low-medium flame for 18 to 20 minutes.
  • 6. Dal Dhokli is ready, serve it hot.
