You can add channa daal 1/2 cup to it while pressure cooking but I want it light weighted daal for stomach ,easy to digest

Ingredients For Dhaba Style Dal Fry Recipe

Methods
  • 1. In a pan, take oil deep fry thin sliced onion,
  • 2. Deep fry till it turns golden brown keep it aside , this is birista,
  • 3. Now in pressure cooker take washed yellow moong daal , add water 3 cup , add salt as needed,turmeric powder, grated ginger , pressure cooker till one whistle,low down the flame pressure cooker two more whistles
  • 4. Now after pressure cooker comes in room temperature,open the cooker
  • 5. Now in a pan take ghee,crackle jeera,then add green chillies paste,ginger grated 1/2 TSP,now add the yellow moong daal mix well,stir on low flame for 15 minutes
  • 6. Now in other pan make tempering of this dal take 1/4 cup oil ,add baristo ,red chilli powder,dry kashmiri red chillies,chopped garlic,stir for 1 minute ,switch off the flame
  • 7. Now pour this tempering on daal
  • 8. Switch off the flame, garnish it with coriander chopped
  • 9. Serve it in a small balti with rice roti
