Clean, wash and soaked urad dal and rice in sufficient water for 3-4 hour. After soaking blend it in a blender and make smooth paste. and keep it for fermentation for 3-4 hours.

After ferment the batter add 1 tsp salt and mix. Pour spoonful of batter in greased idli mould and steam it in idli steamer for 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes remove it from steamer and serve hot with sambhar and coconut chutney.
