Ingredients For Jowar Khichidi Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Soak Sorghum In Water for 8-12 Hrs.
  • 2. Pressure Cook by adding double the water with 1 tsp Ghee in it.If u wish ,you can semi crush the sorghum (Optional)
  • 3. Soak yellow lentil in water for 15 min
  • 4. heat oil in wok. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds and wait till they crackle.
  • 5. now add garlic pods n cook for 2-3 min
  • 6. Add 1 cup of choicable veggies.. Here I have added capsicum ,green peas ,tomatoes ,carrots ..U can add any veggies of your choice.
  • 7. sautĂ© the veggies for 2-3 min
  • 8. now add yellow lentils ,turmeric, coriander powder with cholae masala with 1 cup of water.
  • 9. boil it for 10 minutes
  • 10. now add the pressure cooked sorghum in the wok. Mix well.. add lemon juice,salt as per taste n cook for 2 min.
  • 11. garnish it with coriander and serve hot..
