• Pay attention to the consistency of the batter. It should not be too thick or too thin.• Any essence of your choice can be used.• Using nuts is completely optional.

Ingredients For Suji Marble Cake Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Fine grind your suji as well as sugar. Pass them through a sieve so that no lumps remain.
  • 2. In another bowl add curd and whisk it well so that it becomes smooth. Then add sugar and oil and keep whisking so that everything is well combined and oil cannot be seen separately.
  • 3. Now slowly add suji in batches and keep whisking. this will ensure that no lumps are formed. Add half cup milk to this, mix well and keep it aside for 30 minutes.
  • 4. After resting check the consistency of the batter and if it is too thick add milk slowly to achieve a ribbon like consistency.
  • 5. Add baking soda, baking powder, almond essence and half the quantity of chopped almonds. Mix everything well.
  • 6. Divide the batter into two and add a cocoa powder in one part.
  • 7. Grease a baking tin with oil and line it with parchment paper. Sprinkle some chopped almonds and pour the prepared batter one ladle at a time on top of each other to form concentric circles. You can sprinkle some nuts on top as well.
  • 8. Take a a skewer stick and pass it from the centre towards the outside of the tin to form the marble design.
  • 9. Bake it in a preheated oven at 180°C for 35 to 40 minutes or until the cake is well done from the centre.
  • 10. Demould the cake and serve with Chocolate Sauce or ice cream.
