Recipe Notes

Do not peel the Apple, as it will become soggy while cooking. – Keep in mind, not to overcook the Apples as crunchy bites of Apples make it tastier.

Ingredients For Apple Khichadi | Navratri Fast Recipe

Methods
  • 1. In a cooking pan take 2 tsp of Ghee and allow it to heat.
  • 2. Add 1 tsp of Cumin Seeds, 1 tsp of chopped Green Chilies followed by few Curry Leaves and 1 tsp of Peanuts.
  • 3. Roast Peanuts for 2 minutes nicely.
  • 4. Then add unpeeled Apple pieces and sautĂ© the Apples on medium flame nicely for 3 – 4 minutes.
  • 5. Add ÂĽ tsp of Red Chilli Powder, ÂĽ tsp of Vrat Salt and mix well.
  • 6. Then add 1 tsp of Lemon juice, 2 tsp of Peanut Powder and mix well again.
  • 7. Cover the lid and cook on low flame for 2 minutes.
  • 8. Apple Khichadi is ready to serve hot.
