Recipe Notes

1. Keep stirring the mixture continuously do not sop for single second otherwise lumps will formed.2. Cool the mixture on room temperature do not put the mixture in fridge otherwise it's glaze will go.

Ingredients For Bombay karachi halwa Recipe

Methods
  • 1. First dry roast melon seeds and dry fruits in a pan.
  • 2. After that take sugar and water in a pan.
  • 3. Let it dissolve for 5 minutes no need to check for single thread consistency.
  • 4. Then take another bowl add corn flour and water mix well so that no lumps are form.
  • 5. In sugar syrup add lemon juice so that there will be no crystallization.
  • 6. Add corn flour paste and put the flame high and stir continuously.
  • 7. When mixture gets together add 1tsp of ghee and mix well after that again add 1tsp of ghee and mix well.
  • 8. Repeat process till all the ghee gets finished.
  • 9. When the mixture comes together and looks transperent add melon seeds and food colour.
  • 10. If you like soft halwa turn of the gas.
  • 11. And if you want chewy texture cook for more 10-15 minutes
  • 12. Put the mixture in tray spread it add dry fruits and let it cool for 30 to 45min in room temperature.
  • 13. Cut the halwa into pieces and halwa is ready.
