Ingredients For DAHI BHALLA / DAHI VADA RECIPE

Methods
  • 1. Wash and soak both the dals overnight or at least 6-8 hours.
  • 2. Drain dal. Take a mixture jar add ginger, green chilli, salt , asafoetida and little water. Coarsely grind the dal in 2/3 batches.
  • 3. Transfer it in a bowl. Beat it well to make fluffy batter.
  • 4. Take a bowl add curd and sugar . Whisk it well. Keep it in refrigerator.
  • 5. Heat oil in a wok. Deep fry all the vadas in any shape.
  • 6. Soak the fried vadas in water for 5-6 minutes. Squeeze it to remove excess water.
  • 7. Take a serving plate. Place 4-5 vadas . Pour whisked curd over the vadas. Allow it to rest in refrigerator .
  • 8. Before serving top it with green and tamarind chutney.
  • 9. Sprinkle chat masala , cumin powder, red chilli powder, salt and coriander leaves.
