Ingredients For Dal Makhani Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Soak whole black lentils and kidney beans in sufficient water for 8 hours.
  • 2. In a pressure cooker, add the soaked whole black lentils, kidney beans, 2 cup water, 1/2 tsp salt and mix well.
  • 3. Bring it to a boil for 3-4 whistle or till becomes soft.
  • 4. Mash it with a ladle.
  • 5. Cut onion and tomato finely.
  • 6. Heat butter in a pan and add whole garam masalas.
  • 7. Add chopped onions and fry till translucent.
  • 8. Add ginger garlic paste and stir well.
  • 9. Now, add chopped tomato and saute till soft and pulpy.
  • 10. Add turmeric powder, chilli powder and garam masala powder.
  • 11. Mix all well and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  • 12. Now, add the cooked dal and salt in it and mix well.
  • 13. Add some water, cover it and cook for 15 minutes on low heat.
  • 14. Cook till it becomes dry and add chat masala.
  • 15. Now add kasuri methi, coriander leaves and fresh cream, switch off the heat.
  • 16. Serve hot dhaba style dal makhani with butter naan and salad.
