Wash toor dal and masoor dal and put them in a pressure cooker and add turmeric powder , salt , oil and 4 to 5 cups of water. Close the lid of pressure cooker and give it a 5 whistle.

After 5 whistles add water approx 2 cup to balance its consistency

Take a non stick Pan and ghee, cumin seeds, bay leaf, dried red chilli saute and then add garlic chopped. After 1 minute add 1 onion chopped mix till it turns golden brown then add turmeric powder ,chili powder, coriander powder ,salt then as it turns aromatic add 1 chopped tomato.

Till it till turns aromatic then take out the dal from pressure cooker and put it in a same pan and mix well and let it cook for 5 minutes on low flame then I add coriander leaves on top.

On top add kasuri methimethi, garam masala and mix well.

Add butter on top for good taste. So here our yummy dal tadka is ready
