Ingredients For MASALA BLACK CHICKPEAS WITH POTATOES

Methods
  • 1. Soak black chickpeas overnight. In pressure cooker add chick peas,2 bowl water and 1/2 tsp salt .Pressure cook it for 6-7 whistles or till they become soft.
  • 2. Peel the potatoes and cut it into dices.
  • 3. Heat oil in a wok. Add cumin seeds
  • 4. green chilli and curry leaves in it.
  • 5. When cumin becomes brown add onion and ginger garlic paste. SautĂ© it till onions become translucent.
  • 6. Add potatoes
  • 7. turmeric powder in it. Stir and sautĂ© till potatoes become soft .
  • 8. Now add chick peas and all the spices. Add 2-3 tsp water in it .Cover the lid and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  • 9. Turn off the flame. Add lemon juice in it.
  • 10. Garnish it with coriander leaves. Serve hot with chapati or poori.
