Recipe Notes

Dough should not be soft. Don’t over fill the stuffing. Fry it on low heat. While frying flip it gently.

Ingredients For Mawa Gujiya Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Take a mixing bowl add flour and ghee. Mix it well. Gradually add water and knead hard dough. Keep it aside to rest for 15 minutes.
  • 2. Heat a pan. Add mawa in it . On low heat roast it till it becomes light brown. Turn off the flame.
  • 3. Grind the sugar. Add all the ingredients of stuffing in it. Mix it well.
  • 4. Divide the dough into small equal parts . Cover it with cloth.
  • 5. Make puri size disc from each part. Place it on Gujiya mould. Fill 1 tbsp stuffing. Apply water around the edges. Close the mould. Press it. Remove the extra dough.
  • 6. Make all the Gujiya by the same method. Cover it with cloth.
  • 7. Heat ghee. On low heat deep fry all the gujiyas.
