MUMBAI STYLE PAV BHAJI RECIPE

Pav bhaji is super delicious to taste . It is a popular Indian fast food / street food that consists of a spicy mix thick vegetable mash & soft buns. So many Vegetables in the curry may include like peas, capsicum, potatoes, onions, carrots, chillies and tomatoes. It is served hot with dollop of butter , chopped onion and lemon.

Ingredients For MUMBAI STYLE PAV BHAJI RECIPE

Methods
  • 1. Take a pressure cooker , add cauliflower, carrot, potatoes , peas and 1.5 cup water . Cook it for 3-4 whistles. Open the lid and mash it well.
  • 2. Take a wok, heat 2 tbsp butter and 2 tbsp oil in it.
  • 3. Add onion and green chilli. Saute it for 2-3 minutes. Add ginger garlic paste. Mix it well. Fry until the raw smell goes away.
  • 4. Mix chopped capsicum in it. Saute for 3-4 minutes.
  • 5. Add tomatoes and salt to taste. Cook it on low medium flame till it becomes soft. Now add all the dry masala. Mix it well. Stir continuesly.
  • 6. Add mashed vegetables. Mix it well. Add water to adjust the consistency. Cook it on slow flame till bhaji starts thicken.
  • 7. Add kasuri methi , coriander leaves in it. Taste salt and spices. Turn off the flame. Add 1 tbsp lemon juice.
  • 8. Bhaji is ready.
  • 9. Take a pan , Heat butter. Slit the buns and place on pan , toast for 2-3 minutes.
  • 10. Serve hot bhaji topped with butter with pav , onions and lemon.
