Ingredients For Oats idli Recipe

Methods
  • 1. In a pan dry roast oats for 15 minutes then churn them in mixy to fine powder after it comes to room temperature
  • 2. Then in same pan heat oil pop mustard seeds,add cumin seeds, asofoiteda,curry leaves,channa daal,saute it for 2 minutes
  • 3. Then add grated carrots to this pan saute for 5 minutes ,to this pan add semolina and saute it for 10 minutes
  • 4. To this add oats powder and mix it for 10 minutes
  • 5. Now let this mixture cool down
  • 6. Transfer it to another bowl ,add curd and water 1 cup
  • 7. Mix all well add salt, turmeric ,mix well
  • 8. Cover this bowl for 1/2 hour
  • 9. Then add 1/2 cup water,or water as required to make a semi thick consistency of batter
  • 10. Now prepare the steamer,boil water for 10 minutes in it,grease the idli plates
  • 11. Now for 1 idli plate you need 3/4 tbsp fruit salt to the batter
  • 12. So accordingly I am adding 2tbsp fruit salt to this batter,mix it constantly fast,
  • 13. Immediaty Fill the idli moulds with batter
  • 14. Put this idli plates in steamer and steam it for 15 minutes on high flame
  • 15. After 15 minutes remove it from steamer let idli come to room temperature then unmould it from plates
  • 16. Serve it with,tea,sambhar,sauce,chutney
