Ingredients For Sarson Da Saag Te Makki Di Roti Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Boil water in a cooker.
  • 2. Add chopped mustard leaves, spinach, chenopodium, green chilli.
  • 3. Cook for a while on medium flame for 15 minutes.
  • 4. Mash the leaves add maize flour and cook for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • 5. Put off the flame.
  • 6. Now heat ghee in a deep pan.
  • 7. Add finely chopped garlic and ginger.
  • 8. Fry both the ingredients. Add pieces of dry red chillies.
  • 9. Keep the flame low and add the mashed leafy vegetable.
  • 10. Stir and cook it for 5 minutes on medium flame.
  • 11. Add salt and cook for 2 minutes.
  • 12. Put off the flame and serve with makki di roti.
  • 13. Method for makki di roti - In a bowl add maize flour, salt and lukewarm water.
  • 14. Knead until dough becomes a ball.
  • 15. Divide into 6 equal small balls.
  • 16. Take two plastic zip lock bag, place one dough ball and press it between the plastic sheets.
  • 17. Now press the dough ball a little with your palms and flattened it and make a round shaped roti.
  • 18. Heat griddle and fry makki di roti from both sides with pure ghee.
  • 19. Serve with sarson da saag, Nova shudh Ghee, jaggery and chatti di Lassi.
